Shenzhen, China – On October 17, the 2024 Eastern YiXiang Fashion Gala (China) was grandly inaugurated in Luohu, Shenzhen, with the breakthrough theme of National Charm and Huaguang, aiming to reshape the global fashion landscape and reclaim the voice in the fashion industry.

Continuing the concept of product power driving brand power, the ceremony adopted the theme of National Charm Huaguang and gathered over 40 entries from jewelry companies. Students and independent designers from 38 renowned design schools worldwide adhered to the concept of East Meets West to exchange invited works.
Under the awards category of National Charm and Huaguang, this year’s ceremony introduced innovations, recognizing Chinese jewelry brands for their in-depth exploration of contemporary expressions of traditional culture from multiple dimensions and perspectives. Ultimately, the Tiangong Ingenuity Award was awarded to Xindean Jewelry, Yichuanjin Jewelry, Wanfu Jewelry, and Fenglixi Jewelry. The National Style New Charm Award went to Chow Tai Sang, Fenghui Jewelry, Jinhong Jewelry, Ganlu Jewelry, Dan Ni Xing Jewelry, CM Huimei Creative Design Co., Meiao Jin Family, Jindexin Jewelry, People’s Gold, Guoyu Jewelry, and Yan Fangze. The Fenghua Trend Award was claimed by Spelier Jewelry, Biluojewelry, Kimberly Diamond, Jiehui Jewelry, Yusheng Jewelry, ATELIER SALLY Jewelry, and Atelier Priscilla Jewelry. The Guoyun Treasure Award was awarded to Dongfang Ruilu, Hongxiu Jewelry, Youyou Jewelry, Qilin Ruixiang, Kebi Jewelry, and The Emperor’s Gift. Finally, the Craftsmanship Excellence Award was bestowed upon Mengjin Yuan, Zhouliufu, and Foshan Zhiwei.
The inaugural East Meets West Jewelry Design Competition featuring Chinese elements was held. Under the rigorous evaluation of global experts, the first prize was awarded to Chinese jewelry designer Xu Jiaming. The second prize went to Italian jewelry designer Alice Pietrantoni and South Korean jewelry designer Lee Jiyoung. The third prize was awarded to Iranian jewelry designer Fatemeh Ammari Allahyari, as well as Chinese jewelry designers Wang Ziting, Chen Kaiqi, and Guo Qiurong.
The competition’s judging panel was formidable, bringing together both international and domestic experts. International judges included Professor Barbara Brocchi from IED Istituto Europeo di Design, Monica Cecchini, Chair of Rome Jewelry Week, Italian fine jewelry expert Ms. Giorgia Zoppolato, renowned jewelry design master Mr. Icaro Carlos, and Antonio Missiaggia, founder of the online jewelry brand Antonionjo. Domestic experts included Associate Professor Gong Ping from Shenzhen Polytechnic, Professor Huang Wei, doctoral advisor at Tsinghua University, US-based Chinese jewelry artist Lin Hongyu, Executive Deputy Director of the Jewelry Design Committee of the China Jewelry Association Ren Jin, and President Zheng Jing of Nanjing Academy of Arts and Design.
The ceremony also introduced the Attendees’ Overall Styling Award, spotlighting the soul of entrepreneurs and the essence of fashion, interpreting the highlights and significance of jewelry in shaping overall appearance and personal style. Ms. Xiong Bing, the chief planner of the project, believes that in the future, Chinese jewelry will shine on the global stage with its unique charm and vitality.
